How to Buy

Browsing Serendib Gallery is straightforward. Each artwork has its own page with full details—artist, medium, dimensions, year created, and where relevant, available print sizes. For photographs, select your preferred size before adding to cart. For original paintings and other works, there is only one available—once it sells, it is gone.

When you are ready, add the artwork to your cart and proceed to checkout. Payment is handled securely through Stripe.

Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, one of the world’s most trusted payment processors. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely. We do not store your card details. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars.

Shipping

All artworks ship worldwide at no additional cost—the price you see is the price you pay.

Archival giclée photographic prints are made to order. Please allow 3–5 business days for production before dispatch.

Originals are carefully packaged by the Serendib Gallery team and shipped with signature-required delivery. Photographs are professionally packaged and shipped in archival-grade materials. You will receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Delivery timeframes vary by destination. As a general guide, allow 7–14 business days for most international destinations, though customs clearance may extend this in some regions.

Returns & Refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you wish to return an original artwork, we accept returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the work is in its original, unopened, and undamaged condition.

For change-of-mind returns, original shipping costs are non-refundable. If a return is due to a fault or major discrepancy, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply. To initiate a return, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Custom commissions, made-to-order works, including archival giclée photographic prints, which are on-demand fine-art prints, are final sale and cannot be returned.

Damage in Transit and Major Discrepancies

All deliveries require a signature on receipt. We take every precaution in packaging, but if you notice damage at the time of delivery, please note it with the delivery driver where possible.

Any damage or major discrepancy between what was ordered and what was received must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographic evidence of both the item and the packaging. Reports made after this window cannot be assessed.

While original artworks are individually insured, archival prints are covered by our quality guarantee—if they arrive damaged or not as described, we will assess each case and respond within one business day upon receipt of photographic evidence.

Certificates & Authentication

Every archival print sold through Serendib Gallery carries an artist-approved certification on the reverse. This certifies the print quality, the paper used, and the artist’s approval of the work for reproduction.

Original artworks are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. For limited edition works, the certificate will state the edition number and total edition size.

Framing

All artworks are sold unframed. The wall mockup on each product page simulates how the work might look framed—this is for visualisation purposes only and does not represent the product as sold.

We recommend sourcing framing locally to ensure the frame suits both the artwork and your space. If you need guidance on framing specifications, feel free to contact us.

Your Data & Privacy

When you make a purchase, we collect the information necessary to process and fulfil your order. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. For order fulfilment, we share your name and shipping address with our print partners and courier services—this is limited strictly to what is necessary to deliver your order.
