These terms govern your use of the Serendib Gallery website and any purchase made through it. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Serendib Gallery is a registered business in Australia. All prices are in Australian dollars. All sales are subject to Australian Consumer Law.
An order is only deemed accepted once it has been dispatched. We reserve the right to cancel an order and provide a full refund at any time prior to dispatch.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
Privacy Policy
Serendib Gallery is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
For buyers: name, shipping address, email address, and payment information at the time of purchase. Payment data is processed entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
For artists: name, contact details, biography, artwork images, and banking details for payment processing.
For all users: standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, and device type.
How we use it
To process and fulfil orders. To communicate with you about your order or representation agreement. To display your artist profile and works publicly on the site. To send occasional updates if you have opted in.
Who we share it with
For order fulfilment, we share your name and shipping address with our print production partners and courier services—limited strictly to what is necessary to deliver your order. Payment data is handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with any other third parties.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us through our Contact page.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for essential functionality, performance, and caching. By using the site you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy.
Copyright Policy
All artwork displayed on Serendib Gallery remains the intellectual property of the respective artist. The gallery holds a limited licence to display, market, and sell the work on the artist’s behalf. This licence does not transfer copyright.
All other content on this website—including text, design, layout, and the Serendib Gallery name and identity—is the intellectual property of Serendib Gallery and may not be reproduced without written permission.
No artwork image, photograph, or reproduction displayed on this site may be downloaded, copied, printed, or used in any form without the explicit written consent of the artist and the gallery.
DMCA & Takedown Requests
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, contact us with the following: your contact details, a description of the work you believe has been infringed, the URL where the infringing content appears, and a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised. We will respond within five business days.
Disclaimer
Colour accuracy
All artwork images are edited and colour-adjusted on calibrated, profiled, high-end displays, and all prints are produced through a colour-managed, fine-art printing process.
The calibration, colour profile, and display characteristics of the device you use to view this site will affect how colours are rendered on your screen. Serendib Gallery cannot account for individual display conditions and does not warrant absolute colour accuracy across all devices.
Wall mockup
The wall mockup on each product page is a simulation intended to give a general sense of how an artwork might appear in a room setting. Simulations do not account for individual rooms, ambient and artificial lighting conditions, wall textures, or frame-specific shadows. Actual artwork dimensions are stated on each product page.
Availability
All original artworks are subject to prior sale. In the event that a work is no longer available after an order is placed, we will contact you immediately and arrange a full refund.
Governing Law
These terms and all transactions made through Serendib Gallery are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
